This week was a big one for our students as boys, people and future adults. The school kicked off our first Assessment of Wellbeing in Education (AWE) Survey. 

Mates. To your left and your right, you’ve got your mates. Lads who will look after you. Throughout your Otago Boys’ journey, friends will be there alongside you.

On 3 June I flew out of New Zealand and made my way over to Brussels, Belgium. I spent 1 night in Brussels before moving to a small town named Kemmel which was about a 10 minute drive to where the Messines Ridge memorial was held. 

Things have been humming in Room 1 in preparation for upcoming junior exams. Prefects are leading lunchtime tutorials aimed at helping junior students across all their core subjects. While only a few have attended previously, exams have seen record numbers coming in for the extra help (and pizza, thanks to the canteen).

The 2017 School Council has supported a number of projects this year, the latest of which is pictured here. 

Taine is in his final year of high school and is part of the Gateway programme at Otago Boys'.

Last Friday a group of our Pasifika students were invited to attend a workshop hosted by the University of Otago. 

Eleven teams from seven schools played for the thirteenth annual Otago/Southland Secondary Interschool Teams' Championship on Saturday 24 June. 

OBHS Old Boy Tom Hanson (2012-2016) is currently undertaking his corporal course having recently completed his basic training  along with survival, escape and evade training. 

The annual winter interschool fixture between Otago Boys' High School and Christchurch Boys' High School will be held in Dunedin on Tuesday 4th July. Please find below a timetable of events.

The Otago Boys' High School Parents Association has been given the opportunity to sell the ‘Dunedin Fonebook’ as a fundraising venture.
