101 years ago the tradition, remembering the sacrifice and efforts of our old boys in World War 1 continues today.

In assembly on Tuesday we instituted a new award - Student of the Term. 

Let me tell you all a little story about my life. At the ripe old age of 10 my favourite movie was ‘Finding Nemo’ and my favorite song was ‘Gotta Be Somebody’. Pretty standard for your average kid out on the Taieri. Life was good. 

The kiwis have landed.  After a long haul flight to the USA, the team, including 3 teachers, 14 Cashmere High and 8 Otago Boys' students arrived in Houston, Texas.

The annual Inter House Haka Competition was held on Wednesday morning.

Our Year 10 Design Graphics class has completed a set of posters to be posted about the school and in classrooms.

Year 9 Design and Visual Communication students proudly presenting their individual key ring designs.

Last Friday our Year 10 Young Leaders group were involved in the Sport Otago FMS (Fundamental Movement Skills) Challenge Day.

Year 11 OBHS students are in the thick of their Science Fair studies.

Friday 1st April the Rowing squad headed up to Twizel to stay in their luxury training accommodation in the camping ground with “Kate’s Kitchen”.

Despite having summer-like conditions the day before, this year’s Year 13 Physical Education Triathlon was run in cool temperatures thanks to a southerly front that had come through the previous night.

Last week the school participated in a number of sporting codes during tournament week.  

On the 7th to 9th April Liam Turner was a member of the New Zealand Athletics team to compete in the Oceania Games held in Tahiti, along with 19 other athletes involving 7 other countries. 

Occasionally we have requests from parents seeking private board for their son for varying lengths of time.

"Popstars" features classic 90’s songs from bands and solo icons such as, Nsync, Britney Spears, Nirvana, Bon jovi, Backstreet Boys, and many more of your favourite artists.  

The Electoral Roll for this year’s Board of Trustee Elections is currently being checked and updated.
