Rector's Welcome

Our school has a long history of producing fine young men. The traditional values, strong structures and modern learning practices develop confident, connected and courageous learners. For over 150 years teaching boys has been our core focus.

Boys here are expected to become involved in the ‘life’ of Otago Boys’ High inside and outside of the classroom. There are significant opportunities in a wide range of academic, cultural and sporting groups and your son will thrive if he takes part. For all new students, it is hands up – rather than hands out. Future success starts now.

As the 14th Rector of the school and an old boy I look forward to both the years ahead and the opportunities and successes they will bring. As a school community we value the role we play in the development of your boys.
