OBHS International Student Leader Louie Cheng addressed senior assembly this week as part of International Languages' Week.

In 2010 Luvo Manyonga was the world junior long jump champion and had the 2012 Olympic games in his sight.

Our students and visiting guests from Shanghai were treated to a fantastic performance by Wairua Pūhou (the OBHS/OGHS Kapa Haka group) at our International assembly on Tuesday.

Last week Ben Hogan, Tom Sharp (both Grade 6) and James Williamson (Grade 5) sat their Speech New Zealand Public Speaking and Communication module 1 exams.

Students have enjoyed the display by our ESOL department in the library which has celebrated International Languages' Week.

On Tuesday evening 36 junior students keenly participated in the annual regional mathematics competition, the O'MAthalon.

Tynon is a Year 13 student currently on placement with JP Kitchens.

On Wednesday evening 13 teams competed in the annual secondary schools’ small bore shooting championships. Our top shooter on the night was Jarvis Cross, who placed in the top ten of all shooters on the night.

Congratulations to Year 10 student Cameron Moffitt who has recently been selected by the New Zealand Children's Athletics Association to represent New Zealand at the Australian All Schools Championships being held in Adelaide in December.

In July 2018 we will be taking a small group of students on an adventure of a lifetime!
