Each week at senior assembly one of our Prefect's present their "Last Word". We would like to share these with the school community.

Today the 2019 prefects were announced. As prefects we find ourselves with a great opportunity to lead and set a good example in all areas of school life.

This week's senior assembly was focused on recognising the 2018 scholarship winners and awarding badges and ties to the 2019 Prefects.

Our Board realised the need for the school values to be embedded in our sports curriculum and for Otago Boys’ High School to offer the best possible experience for all. The Sports Levy; introduced and approved at the November 2018 meeting of the Board of Trustees, is a contribution to the financial support that we need to ensure we meet the strategic aims for sport. This document has been put together to answer some of the key questions.

It has been a busy start to the year for School House with the boys involved in lots of activities.

In its second year in Wanaka, and on the back of a successful debut event, the Otago Secondary Schools’ Triathlon Championships and Challenge Wanaka Schools’ event drew a huge turnout, especially from Dunedin Schools.

Our 29 year 9 hostel boys set off to Mt Aspiring Lodge last weekend. Heading away straight after the athletic sports on Thursday made for a long tiring day, as it was after dark by the time we were all set up at the Lodge.

The first summer inter school fixture for the summer was held at the beginning of the week in Timaru.

The 2019 OBHS/OGHS school production is Hairspray!

Golf coaching will begin on Monday February 18.

The Otago Boys' High School Museum require a male mannequin for display purposes.

The school is running a trip to the USA in January next year to explore 4 big cities: Chicago, Boston, New York and Washington.
