The Electoral Roll for this year’s Board of Trustee Elections is currently being checked and updated. 

Art student of the week is Kevin Yang, a highly academic Chinese born student who hails from the city of Wuhan divided by the Yangtze river.

Otago Boys’ students do not know how lucky they are. We sit on comfortable chairs, in a warm auditorium. Rather than wooden benches in a cold gymnasium, like most schools do.

Otago Boys' High School Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) Teams receive their Company Registration Certificates for the 2016 National Competition.

Biotechnology studies in Year13 include Biochemistry techniques such as DNA extraction, running gels to separate DNA fragments by size and use of plasmids cut using restriction enzymes.

The World Vision Youth Leadership Conference was held on March 18th at Dunedin Town Hall.

With the fine weather continuing the new surface on the tennis courts is complete and nets will soon be installed.  This will be a superb playing surface which will benefit the students and community of Otago Boys'.

10B were the last class to spend a week at the lodge at Mt Aspiring returning before the easter break.

Congratulations to all of the OBHS teams who played their last game for the season on the Saturday prior to the Easter break. 

In beating Waitaki Boys' HighSchool by 238 runs in the zone final of the NZ First XI Cup OBHS qualified for the NZ Finals for the fifth time in the last six years. This will be played in December at Lincoln.

The school had 25 students attending the Otago/Southland Secondary School Athletics Champs at the Caledonian Grounds.

Congratulations to Year 10 student Grason Veitch who recently won the 13 - 14 year age group 125/250 cc class event at  the 2016 Interschools MX Challenge in Rotorua.

A massive congratulations to the OBHS Under 17 coxed four on their silver medal at the South Island Secondary Schools Regata in Twizel.

Recently our 1st Touch team competed in the South Island Secondary Schools Tournament in Christchurch.  

He pānui... Our final whānau hui and potluck dinner for Term 1 will be held in the OBHS Library on Wednesday 13th April from 5.30pm - 7.00pm. All welcome... Nau mai, haere mai, tauti mai!!!
