The sun is shining and we are all grateful.

At senior assembly this week, badges and ties were presented to the 2021 Prefects.

Last week our Rector, Mr Hall, received the following email from a new parent to the school.

The entire cohort of 30 Year 9 hostel boys accompanied by 5 hostel prefects and 3 staff departed for our Mt Aspiring Lodge on Saturday afternoon. After refuelling at Subway Cromwell we made it to the Lodge in good time to get settled in before dark.

Henry and Nick Sim attended the South Island and New Zealand ISSF Trench Competitions held at the Balfour Gun Club over Waitangi weekend.

On Tuesday 2 February 2021 the Otago Boys’ High School 1st XI played their first traditional fixture of the year against an invitational Old Boy’s XI in a 40 Over fixture on Littlebourne.

The library has a large amount of overdue books, especially English text books.

The Year 9 Meet the Teacher evening will be held on Thursday, 18 February.

After a successful 2018 tour, we are taking another group of boys to the North Island to learn about NZ's earthquakes and volcanoes first hand.

The first meeting of the OBHS Parents Association for the year will be held in the school staff room on Thursday, 18 February at 7pm. New members are most welcome!

On 21 February we are going to hold our School Garage Sale (this replaces the Fair of 2020) and we need help from our school community to run/manage the stalls.

We are now on our third attempt to hold our school fair that has been downscaled to a Garage Sale.
