Recently in the school, a poster was put up in one of the common room display areas which said “Classic mistake - finishing an exam early and then sitting and doing nothing”.

After the successful quiz night at Otago Girls’ High School last Thursday 9th June, our school’s Year 9 Gifted and Talented  Road to Rhodes students delivered a cheque of $1725.90  to the Otago Community Hospice.

After months of preparation, the day of The Big Sing finally arrived.

Congratulations to Year 13 student Sean Lau who recently passed the New Zealand Speech Board Grade Six Examination in Public Speaking and Communication. An awesome achievement for anyone let alone a student who is partially deaf.  Well done Sean!

With the OBHS Junior Debate Competition set to kick off in term 3 many junior classes are testing their skills of persuasion and argument right now. Here, Damien Clinch tries to develop his team's case against strong opposition!!

Congratulations to Jack Fisher of Year 10 who competed in the Gold Guitars Country Music Competition in Gore over Queens Birthday weekend. 

A Year 13 Literature and Modern English class engaging in a bit of ako ako to get through Burgess's novella "A Clockwork Orange". The boys have demonstrated great understanding and a real social conscience through this unit.

Mornings are usually a busy time in the library when students meet and get ready for the school day.

A number of Otago Boys' students have recently been named in Otago Futsal Representative teams.  Congratulations to all students involved, we wish you well at the national tournament being held in Palmerston North in July.

These one off, but sometimes frequent absences during the year can have a considerable impact on student learning. Your support is appreciated.
