"Oh bugger", one of the many words we use when things really haven’t gone our way. Missed out on UE by a single credit? Bugger. Procrastinated too hard and failed that internal? Bugger. Stuffed up in that vital match and ended up losing by a single point? Bugger.

Sam Pomare, Devon Korte, Damian Larson, Vaughn Collins, Noah Mafi, Jamahl Wiparata, Oliver Croy, Adam Loose, Judah Nika, Sunia Uele, Andrew Wang, Ashton Booth, Harry McLauchlan, Josh Reeves, Oliver Ritchie, Winston Ward, Yun Chang, Hunter Beale, Gage Colclough, Oliver Shaw, James Sutherland, Ranginui Te Patu, and Jack Power were accompanied by Year 13’s Reuben Wairau and Alex Ballantyne and lead by staff Mr B Matehaere, Mr M Brown, Mr R Golder and Mr C Scott.

This week the school received an email from a local bus company commending Year 10 student Ranginui Te Patu on his honesty. Ranginui found a sum of money on a seat on the bus and handed it in to the driver. Well done Ranginui, you are a fine example of an OB's boy!

This past weekend saw seven of our Senior boys battle their wit and intellects against schools from Otago and Southland in the annual Secondary Schools Debate Regionals Competition.

Last weekend, between 25 and 30 students participated in the Relay for Life at the Caledonian, raising money for the Cancer Society.

Breakfast With Your Brothers' has been busy feeding OB's students with a free hearty breakfast of Harraways famous Otago oats each morning in the canteen from 8am until 8.45am.

This year’s iteration of the Otago/Southland Road Cycling Championships was actually held on the road.

On Sunday the 18th of March, the Otago Schools Orienteering Championships were held at Seacliff out by the Coastal Road.

Nine of the top golfers at Otago Boys’ travelled up to Roxburgh last week to take part in the annual Otago Intercollegiate Golf Finals.

This year’s combined production with OGHS is the musical Strictly Ballroom. Based on the popular Baz Luhrmann film, it is a story about following your heart and holding on to your dreams.
