Students are currently working towards the influence of multinational food corporations on eating patterns in New Zealand. Practicals are based around 'healthy fast food' alternatives. Rice balls on Monday and sushi rolls on Tuesday. Some outstanding work and masterpieces were created. The main lesson learnt, check the strength of the wasabi before you eat!

A huge thank you on behalf of the Flight Centre and the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation to Flynn Meyer for volunteering his time to support the Disability Water Sports Day held at Brighton Beach at the end of February.

The Year 13 biology class were invited to tour the School of Physical Education last week and to test their skills in the flume, on the VO2 Max treadmill and hot room. 

We would like to thank the families that have supported the school by purchasing their sons 2016 stationery and senior workbooks from Paper Plus.

Bad news before the team had even departed. Louis Harris suffering a broken collar-bone and wrist while training on the eve of the race; our Intermediate boys’ team out. 

An outstanding effort by these three hostel boys who represented Southland Athletics in the nationals last weekend.

Our Senior Volleyball team travelled  to Christchurch last weekend to participate in the Senior Volleyball Mainlands (South Island) Tournament. 

With the winter season fast approaching sports registrations will be available from next week.

The Otago Boys' High School Parents Association is once again making our superb cheese rolls! We don’t want to brag, but rumour has it that our cheese rolls are by far the best in Dunedin! Well filled with delicious cheese and real onion – okay so we are bragging! But it is very true!

The Otago Boys’ High School Parents Association Annual General Meeting will be held on the 17th March, at 7.00pm, in the school library. We would love you to come and see first-hand the valuable contribution that the Parents Association make to the pupils at Otago Boys’ High School.

Our annual fees day will be held on Wednesday 23 March. School fee invoices and a payment envelope were sent home at the beginning of March.
