The 2018 financial year has involved many discussions of what the Foundation represents and how they are to co-exist with the OBHS Old Boys' Society.

The result of this is that we are not building our financial position to contribute to our school and young men’s education.

The school is beginning to secure donations for their projects directly which has been quite successful. This momentum is helping the Foundation get more direction. I expect the next 12 months to result in more events for Old Boys' and therefore add more funds to our pool.

This year we have contributed 75% of our total funding to help redevelop a piece of property adjoining the Hostel in Melrose Street. This will hugely benefit our future hostel boys and the ongoing success of the school. It is all of our responsibility to make this a success.

We are very appreciative of our Old Boys' coming forward and giving back to our schools future.

We have sponsored one of the schools teachers this year to advance her teaching skills, her newly learnt skills have already been brought back to classes and shared with the boys. We will continue this contribution in the future.

Our team are all volunteers and a big thanks to them for their time and ideas.
