OCH to Star in Upcoming Weet-Bix Stat Attack Campaign

Kelly Meade —

This Hospice Awareness week we are getting together with Sanitarium to let the public know about the incredible work we do. OCH staff will feature on Weet-Bix boxes for the whole week. But it's what's inside the boxes that is the real game changer...

Inside the Otago Hospice themed Weet-Bix boxes will be collectable cards featuring OCH staff.

Just like the All Blacks Stat Attack cards, OCH cards will have a photo of a hospice staff member in action and some amazing supporting stats.

Stats will include things like:

  • Their role, e.g. IPU nurse, Care Coordinator or Social Worker.

  • How many calls to patients and whānau they have made.

  • How many kilometres they have driven to deliver our service.

  • How many deaths they have supported.

  • How much money they have saved NZ tax payers.

  • And many more...

There will be 101 cards to collect.

When Ginny approached Sanitarium about the idea late last year they were dead keen.

"We normally feature sporting heroes in our Stat Attack campaigns," said Sanitarium CEO Keith Jackson, "but we felt it was about time we celebrated the real heroes in our community."
