Support for Boards funding Māori aspirations

Philanthropy New Zealand —

Philanthropy New Zealand have recently announced that Haimona Waititi and Marcus Akuhata-Brown from Tukaha Consultancy, and Kate Frykberg from Thinktank Consulting are working on a project to determine what will be most helpful to support funders to engage well with Iwi/Māori and to provide funding to support Māori aspirations in a mana-enhancing way.

The project is called Ki te Hoe - Funders supporting Māori aspirations, and the team is currently consulting with funders and fundseekers to identify key needs and opportunities for trustees and senior management of funding organisations at different points of this journey.

They expect the first of these learning opportunities to be available from early 2021.
