Resources of Interest - Climate Action Toolbox

Sustainable Business Network —

The new Climate Action Toolbox is a free, easy-to-use online tool that shows you how to reduce emissions. This toolbox maybe of interest to community groups and not for profit organisations who are starting to think about ways to reduce emissions.

The toolbox is a simple self-assessment tool to help reduce the carbon footprint of any business. It focuses on five key areas – transport (moving people and goods), office operations, site operations and equipment, and the design and making of products.

The Climate Action Toolbox was created through a collaboration of seven leading organisations that believe climate action needs to be integrated into the way we do business in Aotearoa.

The team at Otago Community Trust are starting to take steps to better educate ourselves on what we can do to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations and this is one resource that we have found useful.

Led by the Sustainable Business Network and the Ministry for Business, Innovation & Employment, the group includes BNZ, EECA, NZ Trade & Enterprise, Meridian Energy and Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Agency).
