Below is a quick summary of our recent grant approvals for May and June 2022.

May Grants Summary

$600,000 boost for Waitaki Museum & Archive

Otago Community Trust was pleased to announce that a $600,000 grant was approved in the May board meeting to support the Waitaki District Council with stage two of the Waitaki Museum & Archive - Cultural Facilities Development Project.

Capital projects were also a driver behind several other applications for funding in May with Alexandra based IceInLine Central Inc also approved a $250,000 grant to assist with the new outdoor ice rink roofing project. 

In total Otago Community Trust gave $1,391,793 to 31 community organisations in May 2022.

June Grants Summary:

Otago Community Trust announced that the EECA Warmer Kiwi Homes (WKH) programme received a $600,000 grant to support the advancement of the programme across Otago in June. 

Since inception Otago Community Trust has provided over $4.2m towards the scheme, seeing in Otago over 5,300 properties insulated and nearly 400 homes heated and become warmer and drier as a result.

The June grant round also saw Otago Community Trust approve its regular annual funding to Otago regional sporting bodies, whereby a total of $1,066,500 was approved across 29 regional sporting bodies.
