Our Trustees - Out & About

Melanie McAtamney —

Trustees and staff took time to visit several community projects in sunny Central Otago in early December before our final board meeting completing granting activities for 2020.

An important part of our work at the Trust is to connect with our communities, understand the impact of our funding and see first-hand the developments occurring in the community and listen to the vision our community groups have for the future.

In a typical year we would endeavour to complete regional visits every quarter, however the impact of Covid-19 made this virtually impossible in 2020. It goes without saying that it was relief that our scheduled visits for December continued as planned.

We would like thank all those individuals and groups who took the time to show and educate us on the projects they have undertaken or are advancing in the Central Otago and Upper Clutha areas.

The Central Otago and Upper Clutha based community groups that hosted us in early December included CO Education Centre, Dunstan High School, Alexandra Elim Church, IceInline Alexandra, McNulty House, Wanaka Watersports Facility and the and the fast throwing, athletic disc golfers from Disc Golf Wanaka.
