Otago Participatory Science Platform: 2024 Call for Proposals

Otago Community Trust —

Otago Science Into Action is excited to announce the opening of the 2024 funding round for the Otago Participatory Science Platform (PSP).

The Participatory Science Platform (PSP) supports Otago based, community-driven projects in which researchers and members of the community join forces to tackle a shared problem or opportunity. We welcome projects covering any topic; since 2015 we have funded groups to tackle all sorts of research topics, from predator trapping to marine wildlife, electric vehicles, air quality, and much more. The Otago PSP funds up to $20,000 per participatory science project, and there is more than $150,000 available in this funding round.

Key points to note:

• Projects must be predominantly undertaken within Otago

• Applicants can request up to $20,000 (excl. GST) per project

• Projects should aim to be completed by 31 December 2024 where practicable, and must be finished by 30 June, 2025

• The deadline for this round is noon, Friday 8 March 2024

Guidelines and application forms are available on our website: www.scienceintoaction.nz/funding
