The Southern Lakes annual festival of sustainability is back. Gearing up for their 5th year the Wao Summit aims to educate, inspire and enable New Zealand communities to transition towards healthy, thriving, diverse, low emission communities.
The Wao Summit is six days of workshops, kōrero, films, tours and community events about creating tangible, long term social and environmental change.
The Summit is coordinated by ONE New Zealand which is a charitable trust set up in 2018, with the aim to educate, inspire and enable New Zealand communities to accelerate towards a carbon-zero, regenerative future and beyond.
ONE New Zealand look to inspire, educate and enable communities to help shape a future that looks towards not just a sustainable future, but one where we give back more than we take.
The focus of the Wao Summit varies each year depending on which direction the levers need to be pushed and pulled to accelerate change. For 2022 the three areas of focus are:
This will be in the form of a range of conversations aimed at the general public, films, practical workshops which focus on enabling action, community activations and youth specific events.

Wao Summit Online Digital Pass

This ticket gives you access to all digital events at Wao Summit 2022, which includes 4 Rethink Kõrero/Conversations & 4 Impact Sessions. Streamed live, and also available to watch for up to one month post screening.
