$ for $ Fund - Extension to 30 June 2020

Otago Community Trust’s $ for $ Fund has been extended to 30 June 2020, therefore we are taking the opportunity to encourage those schools who have not picked up their school’s entitlement to do so. Over $400k is still available to be picked up.
Each school received an allocation of $50 per student based on the July 2016 roll, with a minimum allocation of $3,000. Schools applying to this fund must have 50% of the project cost available at the time of application. Schools don’t
have to apply for all your $ for $ Funding at once, you can pick this up in instalments.

What have schools used $for$ Funding for?
Schools have used the $for$ Funding to support investment in a variety of areas, a large proportion of the $for$ Funding applied for to date has been spent on ICT equipment upgrades, however many schools have also chosen to take the opportunity to invest in other areas:
- Literacy materials;
- Mathematics resources;
- STEAM resources;
- Playground development;
- Sports equipment;
- Kapa Haka projects
