The Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA) is offering a webinar to launch its special issue of the Distance Education journal on Open Educational Practices (OEP).

The Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA) is offering a webinar on June 16th to launch its special issue of the Distance Education journal on Open Educational Practices. This is a very timely issue given the current interest globally in open, flexible and online learning.

Join the Guest Editors and the Authors of contributions to this issue and discuss their work with them on this Special Themed Issue of the Distance Education. The issue focusses on how to improve access, equity and inclusion in education through open educational practices (OEP), and shed light on a range of topics including:

  • inclusive open practice
  • the intersection of social justice, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning
  • why we need epistemic diversity in OEP
  • open pedagogy
  • collaboration in open practice
  • capacity building in and through OEP
  • OER (Open Educational Resources) in online language teaching
  • open textbook use
  • OEP in K-12 Education
  • ethical issues in opening up Higher Education
