Course Advice for Distance Students

Distance Learning —

Meet your Student Development support person for Undergraduate students, Tony Cooper.

Tony was the Distance and Off-Campus enrolment officer for several years when he first started working at the University.  He really enjoyed his time forming relationships with departments across campus as well as the Clinical Schools in Christchurch and Wellington.

Tony provides a single point of contact for distance students to go to for:

  • General Course advice and planning based on your academic goals and aspirations; and
  • Helping you to make greater connections with our wider support services e.g. Scholarships, Student Exchange, Student Health, Student Learning Development, Careers Development Centre, Disability Information and Support, and support for Pacific Island and Maori students.

Tony provides the space for a holistic conversation to openly talk about:

  • Study direction
  • Life goals and how the University can help you achieve these.
  • Opportunities available to you at the University.
  • Any Struggles you may have and what support services are available to help!
