Supporting Your Students

Distance Learning —

The Distance Learning Information and Support Handbook for Students - what is it?

The purpose of the Distance Learning Information and Support Handbook for Students publication is to provide your students with the basic, practical information that is common to all distance learning courses, for example, about their ID cards; accessing eVision; accessing Blackboard; audioconference venues, connection instructions, and accessing Zoom; making course changes; information about examinations; and study support.

It also contains a useful guide for students on using the Library including using the Distance Library Service, searching for information in the library catalogue, using electronic databases, and managing references.

The Distance Learning – Information and Support 2019 Handbook is a useful resource for you to use in support of your students. You can refer your students to it or use it yourself as a source of contact details, and information and advice.
