Distance Staff Forums

The Distance Learning Office runs forums for academic/teaching staff and for administrative distance staff throughout the year. Sometimes we hold joint Forums rather than separate ones.

Administrators' Forum

This Forum provides a means for administrative staff to air issues relating to distance learning. It meets four times a year and on other occasions if the need arises.

Three of the meetings are held via Zoom so that staff may participate from wherever they are. The fourth meeting is held on-campus: one on each of the main campuses.

Any distance teaching staff member is also welcome to attend meetings of the Administrators' Forum.

Doing so may be especially useful for those who have multiple teaching, administration and programme coordinator roles.

Academic/Teaching Forum

This Forum provides a means for teaching staff to air issues relating to distance learning. It meets four times a year and on other occasions if the need arises.

Three of the meetings are held via Zoom so that staff may participate from wherever they are. The fourth meeting is held on-campus: one on each of the main campuses.

Any distance administrator is also welcome to attend meetings of the Academic/Teaching Forum.

Keep a look out for the meeting invitations that will appear in your calendar. Information about the 2020 Forums can be found here.
