The problem with Māori macrons
You may not have noticed the problem but it does exist with the default Māori keyboard
The problem is the default Māori keyboard wants to create vowels with macrons as bold lettering.
This may go undetected in a heading or if the sentence is already in bold, but it can stand out really badly when the Māori word is just in paragraph text.
Our recommendations:
We recommend finding and copying the ä and pasting that into where you require the Mäori word to look fantastic.
As this (¨) above the vowel doesn't seem to upset the formatting but still manages to emphases the long vowel sound nicely.
Ä Ë Ï Ö Ü or lower case ä ë ï õ ü.
Feel free to copy and paste the vowels you require from this article for hassle free Hail formatting.
