OPSITARA Research

Congratulations to Simon Swale and Amber Fraser-Smith, recipients of Excellence in Research awards for 2022.

  • Simon creates award-winning contemporary jewellery; you can read more about Simon here.
  • Amber's research relates to educational practice, improving the teaching of English to speakers of other languages, and meeting the needs of neurodiverse learners. Read more about Amber here.

Congratulations also to Lizzie Martin, whose recent article in the international Journal of Occupational Science has already been downloaded 1,965 times. Lizzie's article was the 7th most downloaded article for 2022 from that journal, despite not being open access.

We hope you enjoy this month's selection of our Otago Polytechnic staff and student research. We're pleased also to include a research story from Ara Institute of Canterbury, with whom we are already beginning to work more closely within Te Pūkenga New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology.
