Relevant Research - November 2020

The year is racing to a close and we are enjoying seeing and celebrating the results of hard work by our staff and students this year. You're invited to join us at our publications launch at 5pm on 3 December in the Hub at our Dunedin campus. We’re delighted to be launching not just our annual Junctures journal issue and range of Scope journals, but also a book about Otago Polytechnic experiences of COVID-19 and our latest Learner Capability Framework research outputs. We are also recognising two books published internationally which have been written or edited by one of our staff.

Congratulations to Simon Swale who has been selected as a prizewinner at the 2020 Marzee International Graduate Show in the Netherlands. Simon is a Senior Lecturer in Design who has just completed his Master of Fine Arts degree. Simon receives a week-long residency at the Ravary estate in Belgium and the work created is then exhibited along with that of other prizewinners during the following year’s Graduate Show. Simon also won the Jewellery Design Award at the ECC New Zealand Student Craft/Design Awards ceremony this month.
