Kapa Haka Competition

Noeleen Fox-Matamua —

On Friday 16th of November, Te Whanau Tutakitanga took part in the prestigious Auckland Regional Kapa Haka Competition.

Ka Mau Te Wehi!!

After months of hard work and long hours of practice the students from Rooms 16 and 17 got to "strut their stuff” up on stage. By all accounts their performance was amazing and really got the large crowd going.

Mr. Swann was very impressed with the confidence and skill that the students demonstrated. He thought it was wonderful to see the performers smiling and really enjoying themselves.

Whaea Ngaire commented that the Tamariki looked sharp and that their performance “rocked”!!

We are all very, very grateful for the fantastic support that the students had from their whanau and from around the school.

Thank you to all those who helped get the tamariki performance ready!!

And also a huge thank you to the performing students who did our school proud!!

Nga mihi nui mo tatou tautoko aroha.
