Uniform History at Otahuhu Primary School.

Otahuhu Primary School —

Although Otahuhu Primary School has not had a formal school uniform in the past, when the school was first opened the younger girls wore ‘Mother Hubbard’ aprons over their outdoor clothes, boots on their feet and wore their hair either in plaits or tied up with a ribbon. Some boys were barefooted, while others wore boots with knee high socks and their pants would reach down to the top of their socks.

In 2016, after community consultation, the school decided upon a navy blue uniform with gold lettering. You will be able to see the entire school looking very smart in their uniforms when you attend our 160thJubilee celebrations this Thursday 9thAugust.
