Year 5 &6 children have been doing some persuasive writing in preparation for the school Speech Competition.

The best 6 Year 5 and Year 6 speakers presented their speeches to a panel of 3 judges and all our Year 4-6 children.

There was a great range of speech topics- some entertaining and amusing and some more serious topics.

The judges had a difficult time choosing the top 2 from Year 5 and Year 6 as the quality of the speakers was very high.

Year 5:

Runner Up: Ken with his thought-provoking speech entitled " AI is taking over the world"

Winner: Jessica Z with her imaginative and future-focused speech "Mars"

Year 6:

Runner Up: Jamie with his take on "The Power of AI"

Winner: Karishma who wrote and presented a very powerful speech "The Power of Dreams"
