We identified five Values we believe are important for everyone in our school community to understand and follow.

• Respect — We demonstrate respect for ourselves and others at all times
• Integrity — We show integrity by being honest and responsible
• Resilience — We are resilient when we use skills, try new things and overcome challenges
• Perseverance — We persevere to complete tasks, even when they are difficult
• Potential — We aim high to be the very best we can

Our Values are reinforced in the classroom and playground. Every second week a child who has demonstrated one of these Values is nominated for the Oteha Star presented at assembly by our Deputy Principal.

At the end of the year, teachers select one child who has best displayed the attributes of each Value and they are awarded a special certificate at our end of year awards assembly.
