Cellphones at School

Rose Neal —

The Government has issued a requirement that all schools have a policy to ensure children are not using cell phones at school.

If your child needs to have a phone to communicate with you after school about pick up or other arrangements, they need to leave their phone switched off and in their bag. It is not allowed to be used at all during the day. We do not accept any responsibility for lost phones.

Children may wear a smart watch but these may not be used to send messages or phone anyone during the day.

If you need to get a message to your child during the day you need to phone the school office. If your child is unwell or has had an accident at school, we will contact you-your child is not allowed to use their phone or smartwatch to contact you during the school day.

Thank you for your support with this.
