Punctuality at School
School starts at 8.50 a.m. each day and this is a very important time of the day.
This is when teachers take the roll and talk to children about what is happening during the day-if there are any special activities or changes to the programme.
If your child is late to school, they miss out on all this information, and it can make them upset if they don't know what is happening. It also means teachers have to spend extra time catching up with children who are late.
The time before school starts is important as children can make sure they are organised for the day-have put their book bag, drink bottle etc. where they should be, and also have had time to chat with friends and the teacher.
We understand that mornings can be challenging for families but would appreciate your support in ensuring your child is at school before 8.50.
