School was closed on Monday 24 April for a Ministry of Education Teacher Only Day.

Primary and Intermediate Schools have been allowed to have two Teacher Only Days in 2023 to help support teachers explore and learn about the New Zealand Curriculum Refresh. On Monday our teachers had two sessions; the morning session run by Merimoana Kenrick from Harbour Sport focused on the Physical Education Curriculum. This was a theoretical and practical session and teachers learnt new strategies and activities to help ensure our PE lessons are catering for all needs and are engaging for children. The second session was led by one of our new teachers, Kealan Munro, who is our Aotearoa New Zealand Histories Leader. We have had prior professional development on the ANZ Histories Curriculum and this session helped build teachers' knowledge and understanding.
