Teachers attended two Teacher Only Days before school started on 7th February.

These days were for teacher professional development, and were great for us to get to know our new teachers and for them to be part of the start of year organisation.

Teachers also had planning meetings during the holidays and spent time setting up their learning spaces.

We have two more Teacher Only Days in 2024. These are part of the agreement reached with the Ministry of Education and the Teachers' Union, NZEI, as part of the Primary Teachers' Collective Agreement.

On these two days we will be working on curriculum development, and school will be closed on both days. We have linked the days to long weekends so  families can get away for a short break if they want to, or spend time at home.  These days are:

Thursday 28 March (Friday 29th is Good Friday)

Tuesday 29 October (Monday 28 October is Labour Day)
