Principal's Message
Dear parents, caregivers, students and friends of the school. Tena koutou katoa. Ngā mihi nui kia koutou katoa
Term 4 has started really well with a continued focus on high levels of achievement by all students. Our Education Outside the Classroom Programme is underway with all year 7 classes attending camp at Ngatuhoa Lodge and Year 8 classes about to commence their activities at Waimarino and Adrenalin Forest
In sports, the spotlight has shifted from the Anchor AIMS GAMES to summer sports. Kiwi Tag teams have commenced their local competition and we have strong support for our Friday volleyball teams which start tomorrow. All classes are preparing for our school athletics sports which will be held on Friday 10th November 2023 and a warm welcome is extended to all parents, caregivers and extended family to join us on the day.
We have launched the annual PTA Home Garden Competition and encourage each family to get behind this and grow their own vegetables for the dinner table in the process. Judging will be carried out by the PTA Committee and trophies awarded on 12th December 2023 at assembly.
All of these activities are reliant on parent support and we would like to thank all our parents and caregivers who have given their time to assist with our teams and outdoor education programme. Your help is really appreciated.
Mid-term elections are currently underway and all eligible voters will have received their voting papers in the mail. If you have recently moved address and haven’t received your papers, please contact B Schollum, the Returning Officer on bschollum@xtra.co.nz. Voting closes 4:00 pm on Wednesday 15th November 2023.
Ngā Mihi Nui
