Throughout Term 3, Upham Team have been acknowledging the recent Commonwealth Games in our P.E. sessions by participating in small teams made up of students from across the five classes. Initially we competed against each other in games such as Badminton and Futsal, then we moved to sports which reflected elements from the Para Commonwealth Games. This provided us with an opportunity to try something completely different, and also to gain an appreciation of the obstacles Para Athletes have to overcome and the incredible skills they have. We also had a lot of fun! The sports we competed in were; Blind Running, Kneeling Bowls, Sitting Volleyball, Goal Ball and Blind Football.
