Principal's Message

Otumoetai Intermediate Communications —

Dear parents, caregivers, students and friends of the school. Tena koutou katoa. Ngā mihi nui kia koutou katoa

A huge thank you to all of the year 6 students and their whānau who visited our school last week for our information evening. We hope they enjoyed their visit and are excited about all of the exciting opportunities that are available at our school. Attached are some photographs of our Performing Arts students delivering some excellent performances on the night.

This week has been dominated by preparations for the 19th annual Zespri AIMS Games and we look forward to our school’s 380 athletes joining their counterparts from other schools in the 25 sporting codes on offer. The aim for our students is: to enjoy themselves, play hard, win and lose with dignity and most of all, take the opportunity to make new friends.

I would also like to acknowledge the many successes of our students this term in events such as Showcase, Winter Tournament, Bandquest, Chess Competitions, Badminton, Basketball, Table Tennis, Cross Country, Rugby and during the outdoor education activities in Year 7.

If you missed seeing our winning rock bands perform, they will be performing in front of 5,000 people in the Mercury Baypark Arena this Sunday for the Zespri AIMS Games Opening Ceremony at 7:00 pm.

Ngā Mihi Nui
