Haka Challenge
At the end of Term 2, our school held an Inter-House Haka Challenge.
Each house had a turn at performing the haka and were judged by the following criteria:
- Volume – Strongest overall house. The "Boom" factor.
- Actions – Best actions as a whole syndicate or house. Timing. Unity
- Reo – correct pronunciation.
- Participation – the most participants.
- Entering the hall – Respectful. Controlled.
- Exiting the hall – Respectful. Controlled. Haka competition
The challenge winners were Cooper team (Year 7) who were first overall - see video attached. Batten team were first for Year 8’s.
Finn Pearson and Tahlia Boynton (Manukura students) presented the taonga to Zaya from Cooper Team
