Tauranga Swim School
Students are invited to participate in swim lessons with Tauranga Swim School. Registration will be opening soon for our January Holiday Programmes and 2024 Term 1 Lessons at our locations at 14th Ave, Omokoroa, and Toi Ohoma. See the attached flyers for more information.
Track Running Group
Kate Faitl, a current Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School student, attributes her running success to her Thursday track running group that she has been part of for the past year and a half. This group, led by an experienced coach, meets weekly during the term time to focus on speedwork, running consistency and is tailored towards key events during the year; from cross country season, athletics and other local events. Kate loves Thursdays, as it is as much a social occasion, where she meets her friends, as putting in the mahi.
The group meets from 5pm - 6pm (term time) and the sessions are open to anyone eager to enhance their running abilities. Amongst our regulars, we have current and past Ōtūmoetai Intermediate students, students from other Intermediate schools and colleges, as well as their parents. The effectiveness of the training is evident in the great results achieved by the athletes and celebrated by the group.
