Climbing Nationals
Ayla Radley competed in the 2023/2024 Lead Climbing Nationals in Hamilton recently and walked away with the gold medal!
The competition was held over two days, with qualifying on Saturday and finals on Sunday. Ayla qualified for the finals in third place and managed to secure the gold medal in her final climb after some incredible climbing on a tough overhang route.
Ayla was also selected in the NZ Youth Development squad and has also secured a place in the NZ climbing team which competes in Australia. Ayla has been training five times a week for the last few months, so it is awesome to see all that training pay off. Her next competition will be the speed climbing nationals in Mount Maunganui on 24th March 2024.
