Budding Entrepreneurs

Lucy and Evelyn, Year 7 students, wanted to make a business to earn money for their crafts. They thought gardening would be a good idea but weren’t sure they could do it.

They asked Mrs Thompson in Food Tech if they could practice on the school garden. In the weekend they came into school and spent a few hours pulling weeds and tidying a garden. They were rained off but have plans to come back to finish the job as the garden next to it is looking a bit shabby!

Their initiative was celebrated this week at the Year 7 Assembly where Mr Popping, Principal, rewarded them with a $10 lunch voucher each and a well-deserved service badge.
