Teaching Chinese as a Second Language
This year we will once again be hosting a Mandarin Language Assistant at our school.
This initiative enables us to provide every student with an opportunity to learn Mandarin (Chinese language).
It is our pleasure to introduce Xin Sun who is a graduate of Jiangsu University in China. Xin has joined our staff for the year and will be working with every class to introduce the students to Chinese culture and Chinese language.
As a school, we believe this is advantageous for our students to learn, particularly given the role China now plays in the world and as a major trading partner for New Zealand.
