BMX National Championships
Liam Clifford had an amazing weekend at the BMX National Championships held at the Tauranga Track over 18th and 19th March 2023.
The Nationals is a great event with over 650 riders attending.
Liam came 4th in the final of the 20inch wheel for 12 Yr Boys, posting his fastest ever lap time in the process. In Liam’s two previous Nationals he didn't quite make it to the finals so the hard work he has put in to become a better rider has paid off.
On his Cruiser bike (24 inch wheels), Liam was in the final in second place when he slipped out on the final corner and ended up coming 8th place.
For the 2022 calendar year, riders accumulate National series points for specific race events and Liam got 1st place on his Cruiser bike and 2nd place overall on his 20 inch bike.
