International Students
Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School has started the 2023 year with 26 international students. It has been a privilege to welcome international students back into our school after the disruptions caused by COVID-19.
This year we have started the year with international students from South Korea, Malaysia, and Scotland.
Our international students have enjoyed their involvement in our school's activities this term. The schools ‘fun day out’ and ‘duathlon’ have been highlights for many of the students.
The students have also started sessions on a Friday which have an emphasis on oral language and Kiwi culture. The students have been involved in a variety of activities so far such as cooking experiences, poi making, and a Kiwiana tasting experience. Cooking and eating pikelets has been a firm favourite so far!
