Parking/Driving Around Our Kura

Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School area is visited regularly by Travel Safe, TCC Parking and Police to help maintain safety for all children using the area

Please remember to practise safe parking behaviour, obey the road rules, and choose safety over convenience.

Please note there is a Tauranga City Council Traffic Camera is monitoring both Charles Street and Windsor Road for parking infringements.

A friendly reminder:

  • Bike, walk, scooter to school to help reduce congestion - be fit and healthy.
  • Not to stop or park on yellow lines.
  • The school car park is not a safe area to park during pick up and drop off times.
  • Not to double park alongside other vehicles to pick up and drop off students.
  • Park safely. Parking on grass verges can make it difficult for students to see and be seen.
  • Pre-plan a meeting place with your son/daughter away from school to help reduce congestion.
  • Recommended parking is on Queen Street, Ngatai Road, Margaret Road, the bottom end of Anne Road.
  • Drivers – stop at the pedestrian crossing if there are people waiting to cross.
  • Pedestrians -please ensure vehicles have stopped in both directions before stepping out on the crossing.
  • When school road patrols are operating please pay attention to their instructions.
