Kia ora koutou

Today the builders group had their last session with Warwick. Check out their Corn Hole Game that they made for the school. This group have been busy, they've also made a bird feeder and a stool. They learn valuable practical skills like using a tape measure and how to use certain tools.

A big thank you to Warwick for providing this opportunity for our children.

Congratulations

Kyle has been working on his Science Challenge over the last few weeks. He had to experiment with things that float or sink, research plants that have medicinal properties and build a bridge to support a particular weight. Well done Kyle on successfully completing your Year 5 Science Challenge Badge.

Outram School Board

Last night we held our last Board meeting for 2023. I would like to thank the board members on behalf of the staff and community for their work to govern the school and support the work we do to implement our strategic plan and to ensure that our vision for our tamariki "from strong roots we grow children who love learning, develop passions and reach their potential" can be realised.

CAPES Assembly

The final CAPES Assembly for 2023 will be held on Friday 8th December, starting at 2.10pm. The last chance to have points signed off will be Wednesday 6th.

End of year reports will be sent home on Friday 8th December. They will also be emailed to parents and caregivers.

Our choir is performing at two functions this year. The Outram Church Christmas Service on the afternoon of Tuesday 12th December. Then the next night for the Outram Lions Club Christmas Dinner.

Picnic Day

On Wednesday 13th December is our fun day of PCT House Challenge, lunch time picnic with whānau and Colour Tag game in the afternoon. For children who usually order a sausage on a Wednesday, the BBQ will still be cooked for their lunch time sausage. All children will receive an ice block as an end of year treat. 

Final Assembly

Our final school assembly for 2023 will be held on Thursday 14th December starting at 1pm in the hall.

Last Day of 2023

The last day of the year is Friday 15th December. This is a clean up day. It is an early finish this day. School closes at 12.30pm. Buses will run leaving school at 12.30pm.
