Enrolments

Outram School

Outram School is always pleased to welcome new families to the Outram School community.

If you are interested in visiting the school or finding out more about the programmes we offer, please make contact with the school office and book a time to visit, have a tour and get your questions answered. Download an Information booklet below for further information.

For Children Turning 5

Parents should complete a pre-enrolment form (see below) as soon as possible so that the school is aware of your intentions to send your child to Outram School.

An appointment will be made with the Principal closer to the time of your child starting school to complete a full enrolment form. At this stage you will be required to present your child’s birth certificate, immunisation record and confirmation of your residential address.

Usual practice has new enrolments attending school for four half days in preparation for beginning school. Upon starting school parents should ensure that pupils have a lunch box, school bag and the necessary stationery. A stationery list will be provided upon enrolment and is available at the school office.

Out of Zone Enrolments

To applicants outside the zone of enrolment, the scheme sets an order of priority if space is limited.

Priority is given as follows:

  • Priority 1 – applicants who are siblings of current students

  • Priority 2 – applicants who are siblings of former students

  • Priority 3 – applicants who are children of a former student

  • Priority 4 – applicants who are children of an employee of the school board

  • Priority 5 – all other applicants

If there are more applicants in the priority groups than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989. Parents will be informed of the date of ballot by notice in a community newspaper.

To apply, please complete the Outram School application for Out of Zone Enrolment (see below).
