As the year draws to a close, a personal note from me (Miss McGregor) to you all. Thank you to everyone for welcoming me into your community this year and what a fabulous community you all have! I am very appreciative of the support and the warmness I have felt here. My gosh...the students are very lucky to have such wonderful teachers out here. To my students of Room 10, the coolest bunch, who I am grateful of having the pleasure to teach and grow with. As my chapter comes to an end, it is simply not a goodbye but a see you soon. Stay groovy and keep believing in yourselves! With that being said...here is Room 10's snapshots of our fun filled and BUSY term we have had. Year 4 camp... staying overnight at Waiora, at Whare Flat. Lots of stepping outside our comfort zone and being resilient experiencing new challenges.  

Kelly sports fun! Athletics training, Volleyball skills and even Golf skills!

We love Maths! For our fraction unit, we made mini Minecraft people to show off our fraction skills! 

We love Writing! We wrote about our favourite time of the day and why we like it. We then produced an artwork that represented our favourite time of the day. How cool do these look? 

For our Health unit, we have been learning about building a positive classroom environment and being a good friend. We made kindness catchers to reflect our learning. 

We love Christmas! Over the last week, we have created kindness advent calendars. We discussed what acts of kindness we could do for the 25 days leading up to Christmas. How cool do they look? We shared these in last weeks assembly with Room 4! We really enjoyed working with another class to learn some new songs and share our learning.  

WE LOVE SWIMMING! We are working to build our confidence in the water. From learning to improve our freestyle and backstroke technique to treading water. We have also talked about tricky situations we could find ourselves in and how we would get out of it. We love using the pool toys during team work challenges.
