What a term it has been for Room 10! There has been plenty of exciting learning going on in our classroom. As well as a lot of sickness! Room 10 has been very resilient through this. I know we are all excited for the holidays ahead and well deserved too!

We have enjoyed exploring different art techniques over the last few weeks from pointillism, aboriginal patterns and sketching our own comics. 

Our class novel has been on the book series the ''Wild Robot.'' We read ''Wild Robot'' last term, ''The Wild Robot Escapes'' this term and I know the students are looking forward to the final book in Term 4, ''The Wild Robot Protects.'' We love reading this as a class and discussing the characters, themes, plots and events that take place. As we read, the students summarise the chapter they have just listened too with a sketch. We love doing this outside on a nice sunny day after lunch!

Based off our class novel, we have been designing our own ''Wild Robots!'' The students first wrote a description of their robot using lots of descriptive language to paint to the reader, including any special features they might have. Then they had to sketch their robot with labels from their description. After that was completed, the students listed their materials that they needed to build their 3D robots and their building plan. The students have loved completing this mini inquiry over the last few weeks. Here is the process and are our finished products! How awesome do these look?
