Play is the Way
Be Brave - Particpate to Progress.
This week we are focusing on...
“Be Brave - Participate to Progress”
At assembly on Monday we talked about how Room 5 had been out of their comfort zone at camp recently when trying new things but that they bravely accepted the challenge.
This life raft makes our school value of RESILIENCE into a virtue when we use it. We can show our resilience in the playground by being brave to tell people or friends that we don’t like the way they are speaking or treating us. Or being brave is asking someone to play with us if you or they don’t have anyone.
In the classroom we can be brave by having a positive mindset when we met a challenge, or be brave to ask for help from a friend or the teacher.
This behaviour is simulated through this week's game called Islands. We have to be brave to make sure everyone feels included and that we are looking after the needs of everyone, even while we are distracted by the fun of playing the game. The class is not safe and able to get a point until everyone looks beyond themselves to see if others need help.
